The experience gained in the wire working industry by Ace Wire Works, has been continuing to develop since the business commenced in January of 1946, when the founder, Albert Blashki, started work for his father at a company called A. Jones and Co.
After almost 9 years working for his father, it was time for Albert to venture out on his own. With a $400 loan from the ANZ bank and $800 from the sale of his car, Ace Wire Works was born. It was now October, 1954 and with a single spot welder, Albert had started work on his own manufacturing milk bottle carriers and display stands.
It wasn’t long before the business needed room to expand, and in February 1955, Ace Wire Works moved to a property in Springvale which consisted of two ex-Army huts and now employed 3 people.

In 1958 a brick façade with saw tooth buildings were erected over the entirety of the site to accommodate the further and continued growth of the business. This would see the business through quite some many years of growth and consolidation within the industry, until in 1997, when Ace Wire Works had yet again outgrown it’s existing premises and moved to a new factory, warehouse and office complex, set on 4 acres of land at Hallam. This current site not only provides for the business as we see it today, but allows for significant expansion in the future as we continue to grow into the future.
